Since our belts are custom-made to order, we don’t do returns for wrong sizing, so it is important that you take a little care to get it right. No worries though, we’re here to help!

Belts can be worn three ways: in your belt loops, at the natural waist, and/or low on the hips. So be sure to measure where you will be wearing your new belt – see our size guide for how to do this.

If you do not own a previous belt, then follow the instructions below:

With a tailors tape or a fabric tape measure, feed it through your belt loops and take a measurement that way - if not, you can use a piece of string, mark the measurement and then use a normal steel tape measure to determine your size. In either case it is VERY important to make sure the tape measure or string is in the MIDDLE of your loops, if you are not careful the string or tape will naturally go to the top on the loop which will make the measurement smaller than it should be.

We can send you leather samples so you can see, touch and smell for yourself before you buy.

If you change your mind, contact us as soon as possible, there is usually a window of a couple of days between order and production. As your piece is being custom made for you, the order cannot be changed or canceled once it has been produced.

Shipping & Returns

Premium FedEx shipping is FREE for all orders over $99. On smaller orders, we ship standard ground for a flat rate of $15. There are no taxes or duties payable on US orders. Canadian orders are of course subject to GST/HST.

We also ship to Europe, Great Britain and Australia using FedEx International, with the shipping cost calculated at checkout. Please be aware that your country may collect additional taxes and duties on delivery, which are your responsibility.

Each BRAVE product is custom made-to-order, so it takes a little time. We aim to ship all orders within a week. After that, your FedEx delivery takes a few days — you will receive an email when your order is shipped.

You can track the progress of your order from placement to final delivery using the link on your original order confirmation email.

We take pride in every piece we make, and stand behind our quality and craftsmanship 100% with our lifetime warranty. If your new BRAVE creation has a flaw, or if you are unhappy with the quality and craftsmanship, we will do whatever we can to make it right – or we will refund your purchase.

That said, every one of our leather bags and belts are custom made to order. Your belt will be made with care and attention, please be sure to place your order in the same spirit. And remember, we are here to help you through the process and make sure your order is perfect.

We DO take returns on any piece with a defect in materials or craftsmanship or if you are unhappy with your piece for any reason.

We DO NOT take returns on belts ordered in the wrong size, on multiple versions of the same item ordered in different colors and/or sizes or on gift cards or leather care kits.

We can alter or exchange for the same item in a different size (however, the customer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the return to us - we do not provide shipping labels).

Product & Practices

For over 30 years, every BRAVE piece has been made by our team of skilled artisans in our own Toronto workshop.

All BRAVE leathers are produced by the traditional process of vegetable tanning. Also, our leather is exclusively a by-product of the food industry. Not one piece of leather has ever come from an animal sacrificed for its skin, and consequently, the hides that are used to make our leather products are removed from direction to landfills.

Vegetable tanned eco leather is tanned exclusively with vegetable tanning agents to improve or modify the leather - but not in sufficient amounts to alter the essential character of the hide. The process is completely natural and free of toxic chemicals.
