Saffiano leather is a full-grain leather finished with an elegant cross-hatch finish. The leather is coated with wax and treated with a special stamping method to obtain the desired grain. It is then finished with a protective wax coating.

The texture and the coating together create a durable finish to resist scuffing, repel water, and preserve its appearance.

Many high-end fashion houses use Saffiano leather for its many positive attributes. The qualities of Saffiano leather were invented by Mario Prada himself, who first invented and patented the technique.

Note: As with all hand-crafted, natural leather products, each piece has unique character with slight variations in color and natural markings.
